The project

CityVision magazine is the first free press about contemporary architecture, edited and printed in Rome. The magazine is an important means of spreading the culture of architecture dedicated to students, architects, designers, engineers and being a free press, distributed for free, it is able to reach various types of readers.
CityVision magazine is in fact a multidisciplinary project that goes from architecture to achieving and analyzing similar worlds such as art, music, design, illustration and photography.

Why a paper free press about contemporary architecture?

There are many free presses in the Italian publishing world: from art, fashion to contemporary culture, but non of them are bound or strictly connected to architecture.
CityVision magazine gives everyone the possibility to become acquainted with the contemporary architectural culture and in a moment where digital reality is expanding its field of action, creating an “analogical” product, printed and materially concrete is the strong point for a real diffusion of the culture. In order to overcome the ephimerality of digital creations, it’s important to give readers a physical object, to touch and browse every time they want, something they can read on the bus or take with on a journey.
CityVision magazine is a printed free press, but is also available online in order to check the contents and understand which issue is closer to the kind of research the reader is looking for and allows those who are not able to find a physical copy, to read and enjoy the culture produced by our contributors and editors.

Why in Rome?

Rome, city of historical architectonic culture has opened herself during the last few years to the contemporary, it’s the ideal field to develop a project/workshop that looks to the future and research, both Italian and international.
CityVision becomes the first architectural magazine, printed and published in Rome, a new possible editorial center in this field.
